Incentive Guidelines
This page guides you step by step through the process of providing incentives on a proposal
You can provide any incentives for any proposals on submitted on Bera DAO Proposals on Tally. With Bera VoteMarket, incentivizing proposal becomes an open opportunity, and here is the process for how you can become one:
1. Choose a proposal to incentivize
On the Bera VoteMarket page, you’ll find a synchronized list of proposals from Bera DAO on Tally.
To proceed, select the proposal you wish to incentivize. For additional details about the proposal, simply click on the proposal title, which will redirect you to the full proposal on its original link.
3. Add token incentives
After selecting the proposal you wish to incentivize, click on the Add Incentives button located on the right side of the proposal.
4. Approving tokens and Adding incentives
Within this section, you input the token and the corresponding amount you intend to allocate as incentives. To successfully add incentives, you are required to provide the following information:
Token - Choose the token you want to use as incentive (make sure the token contract is deployed on Berachain Bartio Testnet).
Incentive Amount - Specify the quantity of tokens you intend to allocate as incentives.
Preferred Option - Select the desired vote option where you intend to place your incentives.
Additionally, you have the option to offer incentives for the entire proposal, regardless of the specific option chosen. Simply click ✅ in the checkbox to enable adding an incentive to any option.
The subsequent steps involve signing two (2) transactions in your wallet. The first transaction is for token approval, followed by the second for adding incentives. Please note that both actions require a gas fee. You can get a drip from the faucet to get at least 1 BERA for gas transactions.
For the initial transaction, select Approve token to sign a message, indicating approval of the spending cap.
To complete the reward provision, select Add Incentive, and sign the transaction to fully deposit tokens as rewards.
The act of providing incentives is irreversible, meaning that once added, incentives cannot be withdrawn.
Upon the successful completion of the transaction, a confirmation prompt will be displayed. The added incentives will be visible in the rewards section of the respective proposal.
